About To Do in Sussex
An independent, practical guide to things to do in Sussex, built for people deciding where to go this weekend.
Most "things to do" lists are either out of date or quietly paid for. I wanted something more useful: a guide that tells you what a place is actually like, who it suits, roughly what it costs and when the facts were last checked, then sends you straight to the official booking page.
How it works
Every place and event is checked against the venue's or organiser's own website, and each listing shows the date it was checked and the sources used. If I cannot confirm something, such as next year's dates, it stays off the site until I can. Read more in how we choose and check.
Bramble, our AI guide, helps you narrow things down: tell it who is going, where you are and your budget, and it suggests options from the same checked listings. It is not allowed to make up venues, prices or times.
Who is behind it
To Do in Sussex is part of the To Do In network of county guides, published by West Media Ltd. I am Matt West, and I run the network. My agency, Boostkit, also builds websites and marketing for businesses in the South East, and some of them appear here. Where a business has a commercial relationship with me, it is labelled as a featured partner and the links are marked as sponsored.
The network
The network currently covers Kent and Sussex, with Surrey, Essex and Hampshire planned next.
The charity we champion
Taylor-Made Dreams (registered charity 1158174) was founded in Tunbridge Wells in 2014 and brings dreams to life for children with shorter lives and supports their families across Kent, Essex, Surrey and Sussex. I am proud to help more families across the South East find them.
