A family trail through Bateman's garden and the ground floor of the house, based on Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler's Monkey Puzzle. Children help Little Monkey find his mum, with games such as hook-a-bat, giant noughts and crosses and jungle hide and seek. The trail finishes at the end of half term.

British Sign Language (BSL) interpreted house tour
A small group house tour of Bateman's in Burwash, led by an expert guide with a British Sign Language interpreter. The tour looks at the history of the house and the Kipling family, running from 2pm to 3pm on 6 November 2026. Booking is required and normal admission applies, so it suits visitors who use BSL and anyone interested in the house and its history.
