Dark Master runs four elaborately themed escape rooms on a farm at Lye Green, just outside Crowborough and a short drive from Tunbridge Wells. Games use effects such as smoke, sand, water and a moving aircraft cabin, but there are no live actors or jump scares.

Highlights

  • Into the Reliquary, a jungle temple game for 2 to 6 players
  • One Wing Airlines, set on a plane with a motion platform
  • Shamley's toy shop, where players are shrunk to search the shelves
  • Station 108, an Arctic nuclear outpost
  • A games master watches each game and gives unlimited clues

Good to know

  • Wear flat shoes and clothes that can get dirty or wet; some rooms involve crawling and ladders
  • Under 18s must play with a paying adult; the 60-minute rooms are suggested for children
  • Arrive 10 to 15 minutes early
  • Bookings cannot be moved unless you buy the Flexi option
